a. What is meant be the title Callus?
The relationship has become very hard like dead skin.  Although human beings have very gentle bodies (compared to wild animals), they are not gentle with each other.  

b. What does the husband say to justify his actions?
It’ll be good for the family.
c. Morality (in this story) is not so much about right and wrong as it is about getting what you want.
d. What did she want?
She hopes that he will not go ahead with it.

e. If people are taught to hide their feelings, what are the cultural benefits?
If people don’t complain they will be better workers.  They will put up with harsh conditions.  Others will have power over them. 

f. Human beings evolved with feelings, so why do some cultures say feelings are not Important? 
Because feelings can be selfish. Society, relationships need us to think about others rather than our own feelings.
